Hmmm... since i have this captcha built in i had not one spambot, but there are at least 10 new users in a week (wich is pretty much since it is a very special interest-board...).

Hi Pavel

Welcome to STG!! :hello:

I was very impressed with your CAPTCHA, so decided to blog and digg it.
I know that NO CAPTCHA is perfect, but it?s the uniqueness of each one that will defeat the bots.
The trick in yours I think is the fact that it appears as an optical illusion, it?s the shadows that are creating the characters, this is good, since they are not directly outlined.
Sure, it could be defeated, but as long as it makes it more difficult to defeat, you are winning.

I also wanted to show one other kind of optical illusion CAPTCHA, instead of the normal ones we are used to.
Again, this one can be defeated, but it?s a unique idea:

Pavel, please don?t be discouraged, sure these guys will break anything, but just use it as motivation to help you develop a better method.
I honestly believe that if your CAPTCHA was used by many folks, it would defeat spambots for quite some time.
I think with a few improvements, you can take this idea very far.
What about using fonts that are not easily recognizable?
Fonts like this:

Yes, most those are StarTrek fonts. :D
Watch out! I might do a code wheelie!
